"After teaching at a university hospital for six years, I finally recognized the problem with modern healthcare. We had CAT scans, MRIs and lab tests by the hundreds. Everything was computerized, mechanized or data-based in one way or another, and I was spending more time with my computer than with my patients. While some patients may have accepted that treatment, it wasn't what my patients wanted. I can't tell you how many patient conversations started with, 'Whatever happened to...' and I realized what was missing.
"My offer to you is a practice where you're not just a 'number' or an 'interesting case,' but treated as a real person with feelings, concerns and even fears. I will treat you the same way I would treat a family member or a close friend. You won't have to wait months for an appointment if you need to be seen today! Get the care you deserve, university quality and technology, but with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere."Fellow: American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists

"How did I get into medicine? My father, who decided to become a physician later in life, inspired me. I was in junior high school while my dad was in medical school. My initial exposure to healthcare came when I did volunteer work in the ER and on the hospital wards. I realized that physicians form a unique bond with their patients. When I later pursued medicine as a career, I knew I had made the right choice. I started with two years of general surgery, then decided that I wanted to become a specialist. I recognized early in my training that taking care of women could be very rewarding.
"As a gynecologist, many of the problems that I deal with have a tremendous impact on my patients' quality of life. Now that I no longer practice obstetrics, I have more time to get to know my patients and give them the personal attention that makes our practice unique."Fellow: American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
